27 April 2008 - ever thought of having a picnic on a garden covered by tulips??!? Britzer garden in Berlin could be one of the answer.. Here's some photos.. It's sunday.. so i don't plan to write much.. just some photos to describe how it was..

TACHELES in Berlin...continuing my adventure in berlin.. we went to Tacheles and a cubian restaurant..
Tacheles was an eye opener to me... if you can read german here you go http://super.tacheles.de/cms/

It's formerly a departmental store like lot 10 in KL, but now it has became the hub to gather artist from all over.. The building comprises of theater (like actor's studio in bangsar), cinema, pub, club, and museum of art. here are some photos..

The artist are very bold and expressive.. You can do anything you want.. I remember there were some people partying in the art room with beer and one lying on the floor of exhibition while we were enjoying their masterpieces..

26 April 2008- it's weekend!! that's why i am blogging.. anyway.. here's some photo of the hotel in berlin.. It's contemporary and basic.. Went shopping shortly after storing our bags in the hotel..

Germans are like mushrooms, they gather at cafes with sunlight!! They love the sun! We malaysians are totally the opposite in KL. hehe.

25 April 2008 - It's Friday, and germans usually work from home. Since my home is over 7000 miles away, I have to work from office.. :-)) Well that's what I am paid for!

So since it's friday, i decided to reward myself .. After work, I went with my partner to an Italian restaurant called Vapiano nearby Odeonplatz U-bahn. On my way to the restaurant, I passed along the walkway nearby and saw some nice tulips.. Can't resist taking photos..

OK, let's get back to the restaurant..It's a very cosy and crowded place that day. We were lucky to get a table. There's a huge selection pasta, salad, pizza,etc.. The only catch is that you need to queue up in line to wait for your pasta to be cooked (in front of you). For many germans, i think they do not like the idea to wait, but for an asian guy like me, it's interesting to see how they cook the pasta.. to those italian cuisine lovers, you might learn a few tricks as they prepare the meal (live).
I had my linguini, and it was great! I liked it! The Chianti (Italian wine) was lovely as well. After our meal we decided to go for the tiramisu... oooo.. sinful sinful me.. I guess my dieting plans will be delayed yet another day..

22 April 2008 - is my first time trying out the crocodile, antelope and camel in Germany. And the verdict, i didn't like the crocodile meat. The antelope and camel were better. The taste of crocodile meat is like between chicken and frog but it's very dry and quite a boring taste.Whereas the antelope and camel is between beef and lamb, just that it's not as strong as lamb. What I like most is the meat is lean!

Well a little introduction of Mongo Restaurant (near to Sendlinger Tor U-bahn), it's a Mongolian restaurant, where there's a wide selection of salad and meat (buffet). All we need to do is to pick up whatever we feel like eating and let the cook prepare them. There's a nice variety of sauces that we can choose from, chilli garlic, rosemary, Mongo's BBQ, Shiitake, malay peanut sauce, etc..

Overall damage = EUR 26 (RM 132) including beer. A good meal. Cheers!

20 April 2008 - Frauen Kirche.. Womens' Church.. the landmark of Munich. Today it was more an italian flavour, I took Rigatoni Tuna.. Lighter meal.. Here's the photo shot nearby the italian restaurant..

19 April 2008- My first weekend in Munich for this year, and I have a craving for Chinese cuisine suddenly. So off I went googling for my a nice Chinese restaurant for dinner. I used to have a favourite place for chinese food in Municher Freiheit WOK-MAN, with Leong Sifu, but that restaurant is no longer existing.. So I need to find a new place..

Finally I ended up with Restaurant MAN-FAT along Barer Strasse.. We took the underground U6(Universitat station) and walked for 10 mins to reach there.

Menu was in German or Chinese, and it was tough at the beginning.. But I tried using Cantonese to order, and 'Perfect!' he speaks Cantonese!!! The waiter is from Hong Kong and he recommended us 2 nice dishes of Beef and Duck(with asparagus). It cost us EUR 36 in total for 2 of us including beer. Food is nice (a little too salty due to the german flavor), but still it's a worth it. Here's some photos to share...

14 April 08 - It was my first business trip via Ethihad Airways to Germany, and it was surprisingly good! The business class seats are very unlike the ones you see in MAS or Thai Airways.. You get total privacy, especially if you opt for the windows seat like 'K' seating. Mine was 9K, and I am in the world of my own.

The Pearl business seats offers flat beds on their Boeing 777 and Airbus 330 planes. I was on both planes and enjoyed the consistent hospitality on both flights. Well, the only little minor differences between Ethihad and MAS crew is, that the air stewardess do not address passengers by their last names. Or at least on both flights i didn't notice such practice.
Well, to me that's not my 'critical' requirement. A flat bed is!

Here are some photos..
